Nazareth occurs as Scottish rock band that had many hard rock hits, when well as a single popular hit, a Felice and Boudleaux Bryant composition "Love Hurts," in the '70s.
Nazareth was formed inside 1968 in Dunfermline, Scotland, by vocalist Dan McCafferty, guitar player Manny Charlton, bassist Pete Agnew, & drummer Darrell Sweet. A band moved to London, England in 1970, and freed their self-titled debut album around 1971. When experiencing a select few attention by using their 2nd album Exercises, freed within 1972, Nazareth released Razamanaz, which spawned 2 UK Top Ten hits, "Broken Down Angel" and "Bad Bad Boy." This was followed by ii albums by having a equivalent healthy, ''Loudly 'north' Proud & Rampant'', inside 1974, that were less successful.
Nazareth's large album Hair of the Mutt come around 1975. It, featuring the notable title track, which became a staple of 1970's rock radio, & their handle of the Everly Brothers' "Love Hurts," which took them into a popular stock and index charts, went platinum in the US, and was likewise large in the UK. Within October of that month it freed Holy Roller as their debut 45rpm single for the new Mountain label. This was followed by the series of albums that laid in the Top 100 in Billboard 200 in the US, and did too in the UK. Around 1979, guitarist Zal Cleminson joined a class action, sole to leave fallowing recording 2 albums. Per '80s, Nazareth got misplaced their fan base, & per mid-'80s, were while forgoing a record contract, inducing the band to last into hiatus. In the '90s, the band tried to produce a comeback to there is no help. However a band continues, releasing albums across 2003.
